AOB Toothache Gel is designed to immediately relieve pain in the tooth area and gums by numbing the affected area for up to 1 hour.

Everyone that has ever experienced any pain or discomfort in the mouth, will know that it is highly distressing and disruptive. AOB Toothache Gel is designed to immediately relieve pain in the mouth and teeth, and to assist in preventing future occurrences.

EUGENOL is the major active component of cloves. It has analgesic properties, which means that it may help to alleviate toothache. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties to aid in calming the affected area and promoting healing. As an added benefit, it has been shown to slow the loss of calcium which leads to enamel decay, and may aid in remineralising and strengthening the enamel to prevent painful sensations from hot, cold or sweet stimuli. It is also known to suppress several forms of pathogenic bacteria and fungi, and to kill herpes simplex.

THYMOL is one of the active ingredients of Thyme, Lavender and Oregano. Thymol has powerful anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties in addition to being a highly effective anti-inflammatory. It is an excellent remedy for gingivitis.

PEPPERMINT OIL contains several substances that are beneficial for painful conditions of the mouth. Menthol has a numbing (anaesthetic) effect which is particularly soothing for nerve-related pain. Peppermint oil also has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties and is very efficient at reducing bio-film on the teeth. Providing a cooling sensation around the painful area, it may not only relieve pain, but also help to improve overall well-being.

XYLITOL is best known as a non-nutritive sweetener (sugar alcohol). The mouth cavity contains many different bacteria, some of which – such as the bacteria causing plaque – are detrimental to dental and oral health. The detrimental bacteria require carbohydrates to thrive. Xylitol assists in ‘starving’ and eliminating these bacteria, thereby reducing the formation of plaque and helping to prevent gingivitis and tooth decay.
