Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. This competition (“the Competition”) is organised and promoted by Alpha Pharm (Pty) Ltd (“the Organiser”) under its brand, Allied Optimal Brands (AOB). Alpha Pharm (Pty) Ltd is a company duly incorporated under the laws of South Africa, with registration number 1972/000895/07 and with its registered address at 115 Fascia Street, Silvertondale, Pretoria, 0184. Alpha Pharm's registered Information Officer is Theo Hendrik Terblanche (theo.terblanche@alphapharm.co.za).

1.2. The Competition is conducted via AOB's official social media platforms.

1.3. By entering the Competition, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.4. A copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available on AOB's website ( www.aob.co.za ) from 11 August 2026 to 31 August 2026. Any requests for additional clarification on these Terms and Conditions or any opting-out or withdrawal of consent can be addressed to: wilhelm.vandervyver@alphapharm.co.za .

1.5. The Organiser reserves the right to extend, amend or modify the Competition, including these Terms and Conditions, at any time, without prior notice to participants. Such extensions, amendments or modifications will be published on all applicable websites and platforms and will take effect immediately after publication.

2. Competition Period

2.1. The Competition opens on 09 August 2026.

2.2. The Competition closes at 23:59 on 25 August 2026.

2.3. Entries received after the closing date and time will not be considered.

2.4. The winners will be announced on 28 August 2026 on the Organiser's social media platforms.

3. Who May Enter

3.1. The Competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry. No persons under the age of 18 may enter the Competition even with the consent of their legal guardian or parent.

3.2. Participants must be natural persons, have a valid South African Identity Document or Passport and reside within the Republic of South Africa. No person may enter the Competition on behalf of another person.

3.3. The following persons and entities are not eligible to participate in the Competition:

3.3.1. Directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to the Organiser, its subsidiaries, divisions and/or associated companies, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Organiser, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners.

3.3.2. Directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to the advertising and promotion agencies of the Organiser and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners.

3.4. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches any provision of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to the eligibility requirements set out herein.

4. How to Enter

4.1. To enter, participants must:

  • Follow the relevant AOB social media account through which the Competition is promoted.
  • “Like” the relevant Competition post.
  • “Comment” with the name of a woman they consider to be their “Super Woman” and explain why she deserves to be celebrated.
  • Tag the nominated woman in their Comment.

4.2. Participants may nominate one Super Woman per entry (i.e. per Comment).

4.3. Multiple entries are permitted, provided that each entry nominates a different Super Woman and contains a meaningful reason for the nomination.

4.4. Entries must be original and must not contain offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful or inappropriate content. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any Comment that it deems, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to be offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful or inappropriate.

5. Selection of Winners

5.1. Three (3) winners will be selected.

5.2. Winners will be selected based on the most heartfelt, genuine, creative and inspiring nominations, as selected by internal team members of the Organiser.

5.3. The Competition is not a random draw and therefore no objective or randomized selection method will be applied in selecting the Winners.

5.4. The Organiser's decision regarding the selection of winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This provision however does not operate to limit any legal rights or remedies afforded to participants in law, including the right to file a complaint against the Organiser with the National Consumer Commission or any other relevant regulator.

5.5. Winners will be contacted via direct message from the Organiser's official social media account and will be requested to provide copies of their Identity Document/Passport as well as proof of address.

5.6. If a selected winner cannot be contacted within 7 (seven) days, fails to provide the requested information, or is found to be ineligible, their prize will be forfeited, and the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

6. Prizes

6.1. Three (3) winners will each receive one (1) AOB Collagen Hamper.

6.2. Each hamper consists of:

  • AOB Collagen Cream
  • AOB Collagen Capsules
  • AOB Collagen Powder

6.3. The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or another product.

6.4. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute a prize with a product of similar value should the advertised prize become unavailable.

6.5. Delivery arrangements will be communicated directly to the winners.

7. Nominated “Super Women”

7.1. By submitting a nomination, the entrant confirms that they have a reasonable basis for nominating the person named in their entry and warrants that they have a reasonable belief that the nominee has consented or would consent to being publicly tagged/named on the post. The nominee has the right to request the Organiser to remove the Comment in which they were tagged/named/nominated.

7.2. As part of the Women's Month campaign, the Organiser may feature selected nominations as “Today's Super Woman” content on its social media platforms.

7.3. Where the Organiser wishes to feature a nominated woman, the Organiser may contact the entrant and/or nominated person to request permission to use the relevant nomination, name, photograph, social media handle or other submitted content.

7.4. No nominated person will be required to participate in promotional content or have their photograph or personal information published without the appropriate permission being granted to the Organiser.

7.5. The Organiser may edit or shorten a nomination for formatting, spelling, length or social-media presentation, provided that the meaning of the original nomination is not materially changed.

8. Use of Entries and Content

8.1. By entering the Competition, participants grant the Organiser permission to repost or share their Competition entry on the Organiser's social media platforms for purposes related to the Competition and the Women's Month campaign, for a period of 6 (six) months.

8.2. This may include featuring selected entries in social media posts, Stories, Reels or other digital campaign content.

8.3. The Organiser may credit the entrant using their social media handle when reposting an entry.

8.4. The Organiser will not sell an entrant's submitted content to third parties.

8.5. Entrants remain responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party and indemnifies the Organiser in this regard against any and all claims, damages or costs.

8.6. Participants and nominees have the right to decline or withdraw consent to further marketing use of their name, image or content, without forfeiting the prize or nomination.

9. Personal Information and POPIA

9.1. Personal information collected during the Competition will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data-protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

9.2. Personal information may be collected and processed for purposes including:

  • Administering the Competition.
  • Verifying winners.
  • Contacting winners.
  • Arranging prize delivery.
  • Managing Competition-related enquiries.
  • Conducting the Women's Month campaign and related social-media content where appropriate consent has been obtained.

9.3. Winners may be required to provide reasonable personal information necessary for prize fulfilment.

9.4. Personal information will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes without the appropriate consent.

9.5. By entering, participants acknowledge that their social-media username, nomination and publicly visible Competition comment may be visible to other social-media users.

9.6. Entry into the Competition and nominations of a Super Woman is voluntary, but is required in order to participate.

9.7. Participants and/or nominees have the right to access, correct or delete their personal information.

9.8. Participants and/or nominees have the right to complain to the Information Regulator at enquiries@inforegulator.co.za .

9.9. Entry data will be retained for a period of 12 (twelve) months by the Organiser.

9.10. Participants acknowledge that their data may be hosted and/or processed via Meta servers and/or infrastructure, which may be located outside of South Africa, and hereby grant the required permission for such processing.

10. Exclusion of Liability

10.1. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta.

10.2. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE COMPETITION, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAWS, THAT NEITHER THE ORGANISER NOR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENCIES WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR CLAIMS IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMPETITION OR RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF ANY PRIZE.

10.3. THE ORGANISER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE, SUSPEND OR AMEND THE COMPETITION AND/OR THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING TECHNICAL GLITCHES AND SYSTEM FAILURES. THE ORGANISER AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS, INCLUDING ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK PROVIDERS, ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORRECT OR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION, LOST OR DELAYED DATA TRANSMISSION, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, LINE FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR SOFTWARE, THE INABILITY TO ACCESS ANY WEBSITE OR ONLINE SERVICES OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON BEYOND ITS CONTROL.

11. General

11.1. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who is suspected of fraud, manipulation, automated participation, abuse of the Competition mechanics or violation of these Terms and Conditions.

11.2. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the Competition if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

11.3. The Organiser will not be responsible for technical failures, network problems, platform outages or any other circumstances beyond its reasonable control that prevent an entry from being received or processed.

11.4. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

11.5. Any limitation of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions shall not extend to gross negligence, fraud or willful misconduct on the part of the Organiser.

11.6. Winners are required to check ingredients and allergens of the products contained in the prize hamper prior to use, and are encouraged to consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use thereof.

11.7. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be severed and will not affect the validity of the remainder of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
